How to use Softaculous in Webuzo to install WordPress, Joomla, and 400+ other web applications in one click.

Updated August 2026

Softaculous is the one-click application installer bundled with Webuzo. It handles downloading, database creation, file extraction, and configuration automatically.

Accessing Softaculous

Log into the Webuzo Enduser Panel (https://YOUR_IP:2002) → Softaculous Apps Installer (on the main dashboard or from the sidebar).

Installing WordPress

  1. In Softaculous, click Blogs → WordPress or search for it.
  2. Click Install Now.
  3. Set the installation URL:
    • Choose Protocol: select https:// if SSL is set up
    • Choose Domain: select your domain
    • In Directory: leave blank to install at the root, or enter a path like blog
  4. Fill in site settings: site name, admin username, password, and email.
  5. Click Install. Softaculous creates the database, extracts WordPress, and writes wp-config.php.
  6. Note the admin URL shown after installation: log in and verify.
