Starting with Your Email Reseller โ€‹

RemarkableCloud's email reseller platform lets you offer branded email hosting to your clients. This guide walks through the initial configuration.

Accessing the reseller admin panel โ€‹

Your email reseller admin panel URL is provided in your welcome email. It typically looks like:

https://panel.protectedserver.net

Or your white-labeled URL if configured.

Log in with your reseller admin credentials.

URL and host configuration โ€‹

Before creating any plans, configure your URLs:

  1. Go to Settings โ†’ URL & Host Configuration
  2. Set your Panel URL โ€” the URL clients use to access their email settings
  3. Set your Crossbox URL โ€” the webmail URL for your clients
  4. If white-labeling, set these to your own domains (e.g. panel.yourdomain.com and webmail.yourdomain.com)
  5. Save
โ„น
Changing URLs for white-label
For the Crossbox white-label hostname, refer to the Crossbox customization guide. In the Communication Suite section, change the CrossBox hostname from office.protectedserver.net to your own host if using white-label. Do not change anything else in that section.

Creating email hosting plans โ€‹

Plans define the resources available to each client's email account:

  1. Go to Plans โ†’ Create Plan
  2. Name the plan (e.g. "Basic Email 5GB")
  3. Set:
    • Storage per mailbox (e.g. 5120 MB = 5 GB)
    • Number of mailboxes allowed
    • Number of aliases allowed
    • SMTP sending limits
  4. Save

Setting DNS records โ€‹

For each domain you host email for, configure DNS:

Type: MX Name: domain.com. Value: mail.protectedserver.net. Priority: 10
Type: TXT Name: domain.com. Value: v=spf1 include:protectedserver.net ~all
Type: CNAME Name: webmail Value: office.protectedserver.net.

If using your own mail hostname, replace mail.protectedserver.net with your custom mail hostname.

Creating client accounts โ€‹

  1. Go to Clients โ†’ Create Client.
  2. Enter the client's name, email, and set a password.
  3. Assign a plan.
  4. Add the domain they will use for email.
  5. Save โ€” the client receives a login invitation.

Client portal โ€‹

Your clients log into their own panel to:

  • Create and manage mailboxes
  • Set up aliases and forwarders
  • Access webmail
  • View storage usage

The client portal URL is the Panel URL you configured in the URL settings.

Accessing client mailboxes (admin override) โ€‹

As the reseller admin you can log into any client's mailbox:

  1. Go to Clients โ†’ list โ†’ click the client
  2. Click Mailboxes โ†’ find the mailbox
  3. Click Login as User โ€” opens Crossbox logged in as that client

Useful for supporting clients who are locked out.

Managed hosting that actually manages.
