Hosting Packages & Limits in DirectAdmin

Packages define the resource limits available to accounts. DirectAdmin has two package types: Reseller Packages (for resellers) and User Packages (for end users).

Reseller packages

Reseller packages define the total resources a reseller can distribute across all their users.

Create a reseller package

1. Log in as Admin and go to Reseller Level → Add Reseller Package.
2. Enter a package name (e.g. Agency-100GB).
3. Set resource totals the reseller can distribute:
   • Bandwidth (MB/month): e.g. 1048576 for 1 TB
   • Disk Space (MB): e.g. 102400 for 100 GB
   • Domains, subdomains, email accounts, databases
4. Click Add.

User packages

User packages define limits for individual hosting accounts.

Create a user package

1. Log in as Admin or the owning reseller.
2. Go to Reseller Level → Add Package.
3. Enter a name (e.g. Basic-5GB).

5. Click Add.

Assigning a package to an account

When creating a user (Admin Level → Create User), select the package from the Package dropdown. The account inherits all the package limits immediately.

Editing a package

1. Reseller Level → List Packages
2. Click the package name
3. Modify values
4. Click Save

Changes apply immediately to all accounts currently on that package.

Viewing accounts per package

Admin Level → List All Users → filter by the package name in the search. Useful before editing a package to see how many accounts would be affected.

Set bandwidth to 0 for unlimited: In DirectAdmin, entering 0 for any resource means unlimited. Use this for resellers or premium accounts where you want no hard cap.
