Free n8n template
An SEO check every morning that tells you what changed and why.
Every morning this n8n workflow reads Search Console and Google Analytics, checks your top pages and robots.txt, and asks Google whether pages that slipped are still indexed. You hear from it only when something is new, worse or fixed, with the likely cause and what to do. Urgent problems also reach you on WhatsApp, Slack, Discord or Telegram.
35 nodes, built-in only. Works on self-hosted n8n and n8n Cloud. Updated November 2026.

- robots.txt blocks AI crawlers
- A note naming the bots
- A quiet day

What it does
Search Console, Analytics and your pages, checked before you open your laptop
Real numbers, plain arithmetic
Clicks, impressions, position and key events are compared with the 4 weeks before, in code. The AI only explains the results, so the numbers are never made up.
Watches your pages
Status codes, redirects, noindex, canonicals, titles and descriptions of your home page and top pages. Changes are logged, so a title edit on Tuesday can explain a drop on Friday.
Asks Google about indexing
Pages that lose clicks or look wrong go through Google's URL Inspection: indexed or not, last crawl, and the canonical Google picked.
Ready for AI search
Flags robots.txt rules that block GPTBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot, and tracks visits from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and other AI assistants in GA4.
Only what changed
Every issue is remembered as new, worse, still open or fixed. A quiet day sends nothing, and urgent issues also go to WhatsApp, Slack, Discord or Telegram.
Every client site in one workflow
Add a row per site: Search Console property, GA4 property, report email, language and alert channels. An agency runs every client from one n8n.
What you need
Four accounts, most of which you already have
-
n8n
Your own or a managed one. Built-in nodes only.
-
Google Search Console and GA4
A Google account that can see each site. GA4 is optional per site.
-
A Zabio API key
Writes the explanations on a low-cost model.
-
An SMTP account
For the reports. WhatsApp, Slack, Discord or Telegram alerts are optional.
Setup
About twenty minutes
- 1
Download the workflow and import it into n8n.
- 2
Create the seo_sites, seo_pages and seo_issues data tables.
- 3
Add a row to seo_sites for each site you want to watch.
- 4
Create a Google OAuth2 credential with read access to Search Console and Analytics.
- 5
Add the Zabio and SMTP credentials, and any alert channels.
- 6
Run it once by hand for the first report, then activate it.
Why Zabio
Zabio explains the numbers; it never makes them up
Facts in, explanation out
The model gets the computed issues, metrics and page changes, and returns a cause and an action for each one.
Low cost by default
model: auto writes the short daily brief on a fast, low-cost model.
Structured output
The brief comes back as JSON against a schema, so every issue gets its explanation in the right place.
Same key for the weekly report
The weekly opportunities and AI visibility template uses the same credential and the same sites table.

FAQ
Questions about this template
Is the template free?
Yes. Download it, import it and change anything you like. Google's Search Console and Analytics APIs have free quotas that cover this use; you pay Zabio for the explanations and your email provider for sending.
Why are the search numbers 3 days old?
Search Console finalizes its data about 3 days later. Using final data keeps false alarms out. The checks of your pages, robots.txt and Analytics run on today's state.
Will it email me every day?
Only when something is new, worse or fixed. The first run sends a baseline report. Set digest to always on a site if you want an email every morning anyway.
Does it change my site?
No. It only reads. Every fix is a suggestion for you or your developer.
Can it watch several sites?
Yes. Each row in seo_sites is a site with its own Search Console and GA4 properties, language, report email and alert channels. One Google account that can see all of them is enough.
Do I need Google Analytics 4?
No. Leave ga4_property empty and the workflow uses Search Console and the page checks only.
What does it do for AI search?
It flags robots.txt rules that block AI crawlers and tracks GA4 visits from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and other assistants. The weekly template adds what the models say about you.
