Apps / Portainer
Managed Portainer hosting.
One server, no app limits.
A clean UI for the Docker engine. Stacks well next to anything container-based.
What it is
Portainer is the web UI for Docker: containers, stacks, volumes, and logs in a browser instead of a terminal. It runs as a container itself and manages everything beside it.
Minimum RAM
1 GB
Fits on SC-1GB; SC-2GB is the comfortable pick with room to stack.
What we install
The playbook deploys Portainer CE as a container with the Docker socket wired, HTTPS on its interface, and access locked to your admin account from first login. Docker Engine comes with it if it is not already on the server.
What managed covers
Host, Engine, and server updates; daily snapshots and dual offsite backups; monitoring and the managed firewall. Portainer gives you the steering wheel; we keep the engine and the road maintained.
The app is $0. The managed server is the only bill, and everything above is part of it.
What does managed Portainer hosting include?
Portainer running securely over HTTPS on a Docker host we patch, monitor, and back up. You deploy stacks from the browser; the machine those stacks run on is professionally kept. No per-node licensing, no agent fees.
Who is Portainer for?
Anyone who wants Docker without living in the CLI: deploy a compose stack from a paste, restart a container from a button, read logs without SSH. Teams use it to give less-terminal-inclined members safe access to deployments.
Can Portainer manage the other catalog apps?
It sees every container on the host, so containerized catalog apps appear right in its UI. Deploy your own stacks beside them; one server carries the mix, and additions from the catalog stay $0.
Portainer or a deployment panel like Dokploy?
Portainer manages containers you define; Dokploy and Coolify build and deploy from your git repos and own the whole server as panels. Want a window into Docker: Portainer. Want push-to-deploy: pick a panel server in Panel mode.
Stack it
Portainer runs well with.
Same server, no extra bill. These are the companions our team installs next to Portainer most often.

Frequently asked questions
How much RAM does Portainer need?
Portainer itself is tiny; 1 GB covers it and the Engine. Real budgeting is about the containers you deploy under it.
Is this Portainer CE or Business?
CE, the open-source edition, which covers a single Docker host completely. If you hold a Business license we can deploy that instead.
Is the UI exposed to the internet?
It is served over HTTPS behind the managed firewall, and if you want it fully private, WireGuard from the catalog puts it behind a VPN at no extra cost.

Shared CPU servers
The right home for Portainer and most stacks: 3.0+ GHz vCPU, from $10/mo.
