RemarkableCloud started where most good hosting companies start — with someone who got tired of servers being treated as an afterthought. In the late 1990s, Guillermo Calvo founded a small local hosting company that grew steadily over two decades into Datacenter1, one of the primary managed hosting providers in the Spanish-speaking market.
At the end of 2018, Datacenter1's assets were acquired by Miss Group, freeing Guillermo to focus entirely on what he'd always found most interesting: cloud infrastructure that's actually managed. RemarkableCloud was built from that clean slate — the distilled version of 20 years of lessons about what managed hosting should feel like.
Today we serve customers in 32 countries from dedicated US data center infrastructure. RemarkableCloud LLC is registered in the state of Florida. 100% privately owned — no investors, no board, no pressure to optimize for growth at the expense of quality. Profits go back into infrastructure and people, not exits.
