Shared CPU is the right family when your CPU demand comes in bursts rather than running flat out around the clock. Most web workloads live here.

What does "Shared CPU" actually mean?

Shared CPU means your virtual cores are scheduled across multiple tenants on the underlying physical hardware. You get full access to your allocated vCPUs almost all the time, but the physical cores are shared with other VMs. Every Shared CPU Cloud Cube runs +3.00 GHz vCPUs on non-oversold hosts, so shared never means starved.

Memory and storage are NOT shared. Your RAM is dedicated to your VM, and your NVMe disk space and I/O queue are dedicated to your VM. Only the CPU scheduling is shared, and that is what buys you more compute per dollar: at 16 GiB RAM, Shared CPU gives you six vCPUs at $121.67/month annual, while Dedicated CPU gives you two exclusive cores at $135/month.

How do I know if my workload fits a Shared CPU VPS?

Check how your workload uses CPU. If usage comes in bursts (traffic spikes, cron jobs, cache rebuilds) and idles between them, Shared CPU fits. That covers most websites, WooCommerce stores, agency stacks, and application servers, because PHP and HTTP traffic are bursty by nature.

If your CPU usage sits under 50% but RAM stays at 80-95%, you do not need dedicated cores, you need a larger Shared CPU plan: more memory and more scheduled vCPUs come together as sizes go up. If instead your CPU runs flat out around the clock, that is a Dedicated CPU workload.

Restores are handled by our team on request, and because the two offsite copies are independent of each other and of the server itself, there is no single point of failure in the backup chain.

Can I migrate from another host for free?
